The Roosevelt Story

An Icon of Kings Cross

The Roosevelt first opened its doors in 1943, becoming a favourite haunt of American servicemen and their Australian dates. By 1947, it had become Abe Saffron’s first nightclub, bringing the glamour and excitement of New York and Las Vegas to Kings Cross and welcoming legendary performers including Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

Reopened in 2012, The Roosevelt pays homage to this colourful past, recreating the atmosphere of a bygone era through great food, unforgettable drinks and late-night hospitality in the heart of Potts Point.
